Hey guys i have a 1992 k1500 nothing done to it completely stock. My 04 hd had the pedal go to the floor but it was because the every hard line ruptured. 04 chevrolet express van has intermittent brake pedal going to the floor. In this case it will take two or more brake pedal pumps to regain its normal operation.

They told me when they were checking the truck out the brake pedal went to the floor. The truck brakes still work but the brake pedal has way too much travel now. The problem started when i had to apply the brakes quickly and that is when all the lights went on and the pedal went to the floor it was scary when it happened. Does the pedal go to the floor with pressure on the pedal if so master cylinder.

It was once a week after it was driven on the highway 30 or so miles. I have hydro boost in my 2005. 2005 chevy 2500 hd 4x4 wt. If no pressure builds up when pumping maybe wheel cylinder or caliper.

If the pedal is hard to push then maybe booster. If you have exhausted all other problems check the axle bearings for play and replace any that are needed. Mechanic says its the hydro boost i am not convinced. The pedal would just be hard to press.

Now it is way more frequent. Double checked the vacuum lines thinking it might be the booster however the booster would make the brakes harder to push not softer and there weren t any issues with the lines. Posted july 8 2014 edited i have my truck at a service center. I fing know if the test procedure is the same but for mine they say to the truck off pump the pedal 5 times to release the pressure built up then hold you foot on the brake pedal and start the truck. The brakes don t show any fluid leakage. Attempts checks so far.
